What this is

Roundel Rooms lists hotels in four categories: art hotels, capsule hotels, casino hotels and ice hotels. Each entry is a short piece of prose about the property, its building and its setting.

The list is short on purpose. We would rather describe a few hotels properly than skim through many.

What this is not

It is not a booking site. There are no prices, no availability calendars and no reservation buttons here.

It is not a ratings site either. You will not find stars, scores or reviews. Hotels are described, not ranked.

How entries are written

Descriptions stick to general, lasting facts: what the building is, where it sits, what kind of stay it offers. Details such as room types, venues and opening seasons can change, so check with the hotel before you travel.

In the casino category, each property is written up as a hotel first. The gaming floor is mentioned as one feature of the site, alongside its rooms, restaurants and venues.

Where we are

The site is run independently and is not tied to any country, hotel group or tourism board. The domain name, swissgamingzone.com, predates this project and does not describe a location.
