Lake country, about ninety minutes north of Toronto. The resort sits on the lands of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation, near the shore of Lake Couchiching.
A hotel tower anchors the property, with a spa, several restaurants and an entertainment centre that books touring acts through the year. The gaming floor is large but only one part of the site.
Many guests pair a stay here with time on the lakes around Orillia.
Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada
The view does most of the work. The hotel tower rises above the Canadian side of the falls, and higher rooms look straight down the gorge.
Below it are a spa, a shopping galleria, a range of restaurants and a large theatre for concerts and comedy. The casino occupies its own floor within the complex.
The falls themselves are a short walk downhill.

The architecture is the draw: angular, glass-heavy and very much of its era. Restaurants and a performance space share the building with the gaming floors.

Location first. The resort stands on the Fraser River in Richmond, a few minutes from Vancouver International Airport and linked to downtown by the Canada Line.
Rooms are split between a hotel and an all-suite tower. There is a show theatre, a marina on the river and a spread of restaurants.
It works well as a base for travellers who want airport access without staying in an airport hotel.
