  Every winter a small village of igloos is built on the slopes above Davos. Every spring it melts away.

  Guests sleep on insulated mattresses in expedition-grade sleeping bags, inside rooms carved and decorated by hand. Some igloos are private suites. There is a bar in the snow and a hot tub under the open sky.

  Nights are cold and quiet. Mornings begin on the pistes, which are right outside the door.
